QINTI IV
At QINTI’s fourth meeting, organized by Carlos Molina-Vital, Marilyn Manley, and Alana DeLoge and held at the University of Colorado, Boulder in May 2023, an expanded group of invited Quechua language instructors and activists met to revise, audio-record and video-record activities that accompany the core narrative of the first Ayni beginner Quechua language open-access textbook. In order to reach a broader audience, this fourth meeting included, for the first time, a special event with a public panel of presentations and an online discussion. This meeting marked the first time that QINTI was able to include consultants traveling internationally, thanks to increased funding and visibility of the project, demonstrating further growth and breadth.
This meeting was supported by a US Department of Education Title VI UISFL grant awarded to Dr. Leila Gómez of the Latin American and Latinx Studies Center of the University of Colorado, Boulder, as well as by funding from US Department of Education Title VI-NRC grants awarded to the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Pittsburgh.
