Annual Meetings
QINTI meetings thus far have primarily focused on the creation of Ayni, an open access Southern Quechua language-learning textbook. Meetings are structured as hands-on workshops in which participants from different Southern Quechua subvarieties discuss and determine shared milestones of instruction, elements of linguistic commonality and diversity, and elements of cultural appropriateness. Participants also help develop teaching materials reflecting this shared vision. In this way, those who participate in QINTI meetings are Quechua language, culture, and pedagogical consultants, without whom it would be impossible to create and maintain authentic instructional materials to be included in Ayni.
